Zur Alten Krone in Hattingen

Very good food, very nice service, very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the perfect sauerbraten no longer seems to be available. For this alone I drove the almost 60 km from where I lived there every now and then.

The sauerbraten is awesome. I didn't need a knife, the sauce is indescribably delicious. Great, I am very satisfied.

Beverages: Standard selection of drinks for a good middle-class pub. No unnecessary cocktails or excessive prices. Food: Big portions at reasonable prices. Typical pub. Small selection on the menu made with love and very tasty. Service: Perfect. Attentive staff. Very accommodating and always there when you need them. No endless waiting times to order or until the drinks or food are there. Thanks to our waitress. My conclusion: Always my pleasure!

We went to eat here. Nice outdoor terrace in the old town of Hattingen. We also liked the food.

Location was very good, the food too. On that day I unfortunately had to return a glass due to residue of the lipstick on a glass. Otherwise everything to the fullest satisfaction.

The pretty town of Hattingen is always worth a visit. We were particularly impressed by the "Zur alten Krone" hotel with its friendly and personal service. We always feel warmly and courteously received. The family hospitality of the team always impresses us. The rooms are tastefully and modernly furnished and absolutely clean. The food is absolutely delicious. We will come back in any case. It is always something special!

This hotel was extensively renovated last year and the interior is very appealing and comfortably furnished with velvet covers on the headboard, enough storage space in the bedroom, marble vanity in the bathroom. All things new! The staff was very attentive and friendly. In the evening we had a delicious dinner outside in front of the hotel. You sit in the middle of the cozy old town. Always happy 👍👍👍

Restaurant: Cozy, delicious, nice service! What more do you want? Schnitzel are still beaten by hand here, as it should be. Prices are exactly reasonable.

Hotel in centre of old town - view from window was amazing !:) Rooms look a little bit old but for me it's not a problem. Breakfast was really good so it's another advantage. Problematic would be parking because there is small parking for few cars.

Very good German food & excellent service, wooden-framed building in down town. I recommend.

Charming place in historical building with wooden ceiling beams. Very friendly staff. Helpful without being pushy. We had beers and a plate of German meats for two. The crispy pig leg and schnitzel were delicious. Loved the sauerkraut and potatoes baked with onions and herbs too. Excellent value for money.

Traditional German Pub with local food. Try the goose around Christmas time.
